HERITAGE TRAIL
Head on over to the trail and discover a perfect place to get out in nature and stretch your legs with either a leisurely stroll or a short speed walk. The Heritage Trail is a well-maintained, 2.4-meter-wide gravel path that travels 1.5 km through the natural foliage and forests alongside Stoney Creek before it loops back to the Museum. Interpretive signage points out interesting historical and ecological facts about this traditional summering area for Saik’uz First Nation. The trail takes approximately 20 minutes to walk from beginning to end and is highly desirable for all ages as it is relatively level with no steep inclines. The Heritage Trail connects directly to the extensive network of trails maintained by the Rip’n the North Bike Park Society.

OK CAFÉ
Hungry? Thirsty? Make your way to the OK Café and step inside the original Vanderhoof hotel. Each year the District of Vanderhoof contracts with a local business to provide restaurant services from the commercial kitchen inside the heritage building. With worn wooden floors and soft light, you’ll experience a taste of Vanderhoof right on your plate. Afterwards, pop upstairs for a peek into hotel rooms that have been re-designed to showcase a wide variety of local artifacts.
Everyone's Welcome
